Guidelines for manuscript submissions

Thank you for your interest in publishing with Take Cover Press.

Please note we do not take telephone calls regarding submissions. Nor do we accept manuscript submissions via e-mail or fax.

We are currently accepting submissions in the following categories:

• Cookbooks
• Regional travel
• Home and garden
• Lifestyle and fitness
• Regional Canadian history

We are NOT currently accepting submissions in the following categories:

• Adult Fiction
• Young adult fiction
• Childrens books
• Illustrated childrens books
• Biographies or memoirs
• Self help
• Spirituality

Take Cover Press is committed to publishing Canadian authors. We cannot accept manuscripts from outside Canada.

• All submissions should be type written and double-spaced on one side only of 8.5" x 11" paper.
  
• If you choose to submit your work, remember to include a covering letter, synopsis and a stamped, self-addressed envelope, large enough, with sufficient Canadian postage, to safely return your manuscript. Always send a copy, never your original work.
• Do not bind your work in any way (paper clips are fine).
  
• A good synopsis should generate interest in your book. This is your elevator pitch, make it count.
• For the covering letter tell us a bit about yourself.

Address all submissions to “The Editors”, so that we can properly register your manuscript in our logbook. Response time for unsolicited manuscripts is usually 2 - 3 months. Kindly mail your manuscript to:
